SEEKONK - Evaluation forms are now available for taxpayers who want to weigh in on the job performance of Town Administrator Michael Carroll.

Residents and town employees are being asked to fill out the questionnaire so selectmen can get a better idea of how Carroll is doing in his job, board Chairman Francis Cavaco said.

"We're paying him $106,000 and change. We want to know if he's worth it," Cavaco said. "The people in this town need to have a voice," he added.

Residents can call Ann Rogers at town hall at 508-336-2910 and request a form.

The questionnaire asks that Carroll be rated on a scale from exceptional to unsatisfactory. It asks whether Carroll is a self-starter, a leader and a problem solver, among other categories.

Cavaco said the board would like the questionnaires back by Sept. 30. The results will be discussed at the board meeting Oct. 7.

Carroll's contract runs until 2011, so the evaluations will not be used to determine his contractual status at this time

I think Mr. Carroll has done exceedingly well since his first day on the job - I 'm thrilled with his abilities, knowledge and experience after the parade of imbeciles and incompetents that preceded him!
He is well worth his salary and benefits.
